Diary of objectification

work in progress

In this project, Anastasiia creates a series of photographed material arrangements, reinterpreting a diary form. She plays with the theme of subject-object relationships, letting objects found by the artist guide her improvisation with form and balance, while at the same time weaving her personal memories into the structure of the series. The loose narrative is thus a collaborative process in which natural elements, charged with their own temporality, collide with the artist's interpretation of harmony and the act of reflecting on a memory by creating a material structure dedicated to it and preserving it in photographic form.

Started during the artist residency in Riga in May 2024, organised by ISSP Latvia.
